The generous green offers a welcoming target, while the clubhouse, cart barn, and surrounding countryside provide one final look at everything that makes Grandpa’s Woods special. Keep an eye out for the chickens wandering nearby—they're regulars out here.
The hole takes its name from the historic silo standing beside the green. Long before refrigerators, blocks of ice were cut from the frozen Weeping Water Creek, hauled here by horse, and packed in hay inside the silo to keep cool year-round.
Today, the silo is more landmark than hazard—but one tug left off the tee and your round could cool off in a hurry.
